Too hot in Texas to go camping I just talked to a guy from Texas here in Colorado the other day at Twin Lakes temperatures in the 70s 40s at night that's the only way to camp

Why would you want to go to Texas too hot I'm up around Leadville Colorado where the temperature is nice and cool and they've already had frost this year that's the way to camp

If your going further north on I95 Dysarts truck stop in Hermon allows overnight parking and has a really nice restaurant. Can be busy w semi rigs

I was there last year and the sap from the pine trees were so bad we ended up leaving,people had covers over there vehicles

Stopped by to see how nice it was,,this was sunday , July 28th 2024. ,its was terrible, trash left at many camp sites ,,almost looks like squatters been living there,,please have a back up plan if this happens to anyone traveling a long distance

Thank you! Your videos help me so much when planning campgrounds and campsites. I have an adult son with Asperger's who is a bit afraid of dogs which makes camping challenging. Your videos help show if the sites have privacy and give me a good idea when choosing sites.

I've been to that camp ground. There is a developed campground just down the road that's on wma that's very nice managed by army Corp of engineering and a lock n dam a little bit further down the road. Been there twice

Hi Lou. I wanted to take a minute to say thank you for videos like this one. I’ve been following you for a couple few years now and have always appreciated the efforts that you go through bringing us your expertise on free and affordable camping, ever since I got the bug to buy us an RV and explore this beautiful country of ours. We’ve been seriously preparing over the last few years working kind of in reverse of how most folks start because of what I was noticing RVers going through during covid. Instead of starting with an RV, we started with our travel toy/trike, then homebase and then last month with a membership to Thousand Trails thanks to the video you put out with a similar deal as this one. That’s when I gave Bob a call and locked in that fantastic deal. Now all we need is the RV…lol. God willing that should be soon. We plan on using the cabin benefits until we get our rig. Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you and let you know that your videos really do help folks. Keep up the good work. Safe travels.👍🏼😎

only downside about those sites at highland hammock is that you will have NONSTOP folks cutting through your site, to get to the bathhouse. i only lasted 2 days before needing to move to another site. i wish more folks followed basic campground etiquette.

The only thing about most of thier camp ground. No shade in summer. Advise going early spring. Better yet in fall with the fall colors. Spectacular.

Better idea, give them 4 flats.

Maybe I missed it- the Antioch loop is the older, gravel sites loop, no sewer. Catoma loop has all paved sites, full hookup. It’s open all year, while Antioch closes in winter.

14:20 I was looking for where we stayed about 6 or 7 years ago. It sure looks different. The hurricane took lots of trees out. I remember it having more forest. Sad. We enjoyed our stay. We used Psssport America back then. We were full time RVrs at the time. We moved across the country quickly and always looked for deals. Thanks. Kathleen

Lutz = Loots It was considered just northern tampa, past USF through the 1970s, on Hwy 41 (merges tampa's Florida ave into more western edge of town as Land O'Lakes, with Nebraska ave eastern edge heading north through orange groves into woodsy. Hillsborough Ruver State Park is really eithin a mile of USF on Mirrus Bridge Road. All these places parallel I-75 right up thru Gainesville.

Maybe a silly question but is there any phone service at any of these places ?? I'm interested in Honey Hill

Thanks for coming up here and enjoying our state. There are other free overnight parking areas, like not far from the Kittery Trading Post is the rest area in York and the other rest areas too. Also many of the the Walmart parking lots. As you go further North there are parking areas with attractions. Welcome back anytime.

A memorial at the church here in Pinehurst, featuring 2 of the victims of 9/11. (It’s expanded since) by the time I got home, I couldn’t remember either name but remembered one was on flight 93. Deora Bodley, who was youngest passenger on the flight. Her and I were 10 days apart in age, both flying home…only I made it. I met her mom, Debby, years after that. I have always felt each passenger was there for a reason. That anyone else was different, it would’ve ended differently. My uncle was supposed to be at the Pentagon that morning at a meeting, he was 45 minutes late. You paint a pretty picture, but you fail to tell the whole story. The only way to get those $10 rates is to be part of another membership deal that Travel Resorts has partnered with. Sycamore is an extremely expensive membership campground. While it is a nice campground, it's not all you made it out to be.

I am a Mainer. Plenty of sandy beaches all over the coastline.

I wish I would've known you can't move park to park with 4 nights or less in the Encore Parks with a camping pass. You can do that in Thousand Trails parks only. I guess I should've contacted Bob before purchasing our camping pass.

Freshwater in Florida...how many gators did you see? 😮😂 I'm in Pinellas County and even we have way too many gators! People get got every year. Bah Nice vid by the way 👌 👍
